P Primer Pigmented

Product Overview

P Primer Pigmented is a highly developed product in liquid form, which absorbs deeply into the substrate of cementitious materials, plasters and limes. It bonds the substrate and the surface, to give a solid base for decorative finishing coats, such as Terraco Textured Coatings, paints and thin-bed mortars. It is supplied in white or tinted according to the colour of the finish.

Properties

Aqueous emulsion of acrylic copolymer with the following properties:

• Improves adhesion
• Fixes dusty substrates
• Reduces efflorescence
• Reduces surface alkalinity.
• Easy to apply
• It acts as a pigmented base coat.

Areas of use

For exterior and interior use on cement-sand concrete, precast concrete and lightweight concrete. Especially suitable for sealing old, dry, absorbent and untreated concrete.

For surfaces such as concrete, blocks, cement renders and Terraco EIFS systems, it is recommended to use Terraco P Primer prior to the application of all decorative finishes.

Method of application

Surface preparation:
Make sure all dust, dirt and foreign materials are removed with a brush. Also make sure that the surfaces are free from salts, oil, grease and roughness. Protect all adjacent surfaces from being covered. All cracks, chips, gaps and damage should be repaired with a suitable repair compound from the Terraco range.

Preparation of the Primer:
Stir the P Primer Pigmented well until it forms a homogeneous liquid.

Application method:

Apply liberally and evenly using a brush or suitable spray equipment and allow to dry. Depending on the condition of the surface, a further coat may be necessary. Terraco P Primer should be painted/covered as soon as possible to ensure optimum adhesion.

Clean tools and equipment with water after use.
