Product Overview

Surpassing expectations and excelling in performance, Terracoat Excel is a trowel-applied coating that has stood the test of time and has proven extremely popular for many years. A high build, flat, textured coating that gives an alpine striped finish. Terracoat Excel is available in various grit sizes and can be applied in a vertical, horizontal, random or criss-cross pattern.

Method of application

Prepare the substrate by removing all loose and friable material. Stop work and fill where necessary. Ensure the surface is clean, dry and in good condition.

New job
Roller on a coat of Terraco P Textured Primer and allow to cure. Apply Terracoat Excel / Terracoat Sil Excel (select required performance option*) at 1.0mm, 1.5mm, 2.0mm or 3.0mm (select grit size) to colour and texture as per approved architectural sample.

Redecoration
Protect all adjacent areas that will not be covered. All cracks, chips, gaps and damage must be repaired with a suitable filler. Prepare the job by removing all loose and peeling paint, grease, dirt and grime. Apply spot primer to exposed areas appropriately. Proceed as if it were a new job.
